Josie Green has been added to the senior Wales national squad for their opening two Group C qualifying matches of the 2021 Women's European Championship.

The midfielder joins Spurs team-mates Anna Filbey and Megan Wynne in the Welsh ranks, having been called up from standby for her first inclusion in her national squad since 2018.

Anna and Megan were included in the original squad announced earlier this week.

Jayne Ludlow’s 22-player group will play Faroe Islands in their opening fixture in Torshavn on 29 August, before taking on Northern Ireland at Newport's Rodney Parade five days later on 3 September.

Wales also face Norway and Belarus in their group later in the campaign as they bid to qualify for their first major tournament which will be staged in England in 2021.
