We have been drawn away to League Two side Colchester United in the third round of this season's Carabao Cup.

Third round ties are to be played in the week commencing 23 September.

We're one of seven Premier League Clubs competing in Europe who enter the competition at this stage.

An exact date, kick-off time and ticketing details for our fixture will be confirmed in due course. Keep an eye on Club channels for further updates.

Colchester knocked out Premier League side Crystal Palace on penalties in the second round on Tuesday night after a goalless draw.

We last visited Colchester in January, 2016, when we won 4-1 in an FA Cup fourth round tie.

Coincidentally, our Development Squad will also take on Colchester's senior side at the JobServe Community Stadium in the group stage of this season's Leasing.com Trophy in early October.

Last season, we made it through to the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup before losing out to Chelsea in a penalty shootout at Stamford Bridge, following a 2-2 aggregate draw.
