Wembley Bag Policy update - laptops permitted

Tue 04 December 2018, 10:00|Tottenham Hotspur

This is a reminder for our fans regarding the change of bag policy at Wembley Stadium - a policy that will be in place for our Premier League matches against Bournemouth (Wed 26 Dec) and Wolverhampton Wanderers (Sat 29 Dec) and any subsequent matches we play at the national stadium.

We encourage fans to carefully read the following information ahead of attending any of our upcoming home matches, especially given we shall be running a similar bag policy at our new stadium – more on which we shall communicate in due course.

In summary, all ticket holders are prohibited from bringing a bag into the stadium unless it adheres to the Wembley Stadium regulations outlined as follows:
- Bags to be no larger than A4 in size
- Height 297mm (11.7 inches)
- Width 210mm (8.27 inches)
- Depth 210mm (8.27 inches)
- HOWEVER, Wembley does permit the Club-branded Bag for Life included in the 2018/2019 Membership packs

Update - laptops now permitted

Agreement has now been reached for supporters to bring laptops into the stadium. Please note, although laptops cannot be stored in a bag that does not meet the criteria detailed above, laptop sleeves are permitted.

Fans carrying bags that do not meet the criteria WILL NOT BE PERMITTED ENTRY. The approved criteria is in reference to the dimensions of the bag itself - bags that are half full and folded to reduce overall size will not be accepted.

Wembley has a 100 per cent searching process, including search dogs for pyrotechnics, and they do not compromise this if queues start to form. The turnstiles will open at approximately 6.30pm ahead of the 8pm kick-off against Southampton on Wednesday. Club Wembley guests, meanwhile, will be able to enter the stadium from 5.30pm.

Bags will be checked at an outer cordon and a bag gauge will be used for any dispute on size.

Policy for all

This policy affects all ticket holders including hospitality guests, box holders, board members and players/family and friends who enter the building through the main entrances or turnstiles with a ticket.

Merchandise

All matchday merchandise purchases will be supplied in a clear plastic bag in line with this policy and will be admissible.

Medical exemption

If for any reason (medical) you require a bag that does not adhere to this policy, please contact Wembley prior to matchday BY CLICKING HERE. You will be issued with a certificate representing your right to take those items into the stadium. You will need to produce this certificate at the outer security cordon. Your bag will be searched and may be subject to an x-ray scan before entering the venue.

Please take time to read Wembley’s statement on their new Restricted Bag Policy – HERE. This includes an FAQ.

As always, we thank our fans for their continued support and co-operation.
