Spurs Ladies have bolstered their firepower for the start of the new campaign with the signing of Millwall Lionesses’ top scorer from last season, Rianna Dean.
The striker enjoyed a productive spell south of the Thames in 2017/18, grabbing 10 goals in 23 appearances for Spurs’ Women’s Super League 2 rivals.
On the bench for the Lionesses when they last faced Karen Hills’ side in a 1-1 draw back in May, Rianna highlighted Spurs Ladies’ progression as a key reason behind her decision to sign for the Club as preparations continue for the new campaign in the rebranded FA Women’s Championship.
“The journey Spurs are on, the progression over the years and the way the Club has come up as a whole team and family has attracted me here,” she said. “I want to be part of that family now and help to get the team further up the table.”
Capped by England at Under-19 level, Rianna also lists north London rivals Arsenal among her former clubs. Indeed, back in 2016/17, she bagged an impressive 37 goals in just 20 games for the Gunners’ development side.
“I play as a central striker and I’m hoping to bring goals and contribute to the team however I can,” said the 19-year-old. “I hope to bring commitment and determination on the pitch and just add to the fantastic qualities that the team already has.”
