Internationals | Summers-Mee off the mark for Scotland Under-19s
Our Women’s Academy players took centre stage in Sunday’s international action as Eloise Summers-Mee scored her first goal for Scotland Under-19s in their 2-0 win in Slovenia.
The young forward, who earned a recalled to the young Scot squad this month, came off the bench to net the opening goal in the contest in the Slovenia Cup.
Entering the action in the second period and with just 13 minutes left on the clock, Eloise rose highest inside the box from a corner and headed home from close range to put her nation ahead.
Then, in the first minute of stoppage time, Sienna McGoldrick sealed the victory for the young Scots to ensure an unbeaten international window for the Under-19s.
This was in addition to an impressive England Under-19s debut for midfielder Rania Oukriss as she stepped off the bench to register an assist for the Young Lionesses in their 2-2 draw with Switzerland on Saturday.
