Internationals | Wins for Bergvall and Tonali, Donley so close with Northern Ireland

Lucas Bergvall and Sandro Tonali picked up wins in the latest round of UEFA Nations League matches on Monday night - and Jamie Donley will wonder quite how he's not celebrating a victory for Northern Ireland.

Lucas started and completed a full shift as Sweden beat Romania 1-0 in Bucharest. Viktor Gyökeres struck after 13 minutes for Sweden, who sit top of League B, Group 4. Radu Dragusin was serving a suspension for Romania.

In Belfast, Northern Ireland had Georgia under pressure in the second half and had chances to grab a deserved win - not least when goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili denied Isaac Price from the penalty spot on 84 minutes. That followed a wonder save to keep out Josh Magennis minutes earlier. Jamie started and played 74 minutes. Northern Ireland are top of League B, Group 2 after four matches.

Pio Esposito wrapped it up for Italy with a late third. Guglielmo Vicario was an unused substitute. Italy sit behind France after four games in League A, Group 1.

Earlier, Malachi Hardy started and Luca Williams-Barnett came off the bench after 58 minutes as England lost out to a late goal against Belgium in a friendly in Spain. Oliver Salter came off the bench after 70 minutes as Wales Under-18s lost 2-0 against Finland, also in friendly action.
