Holdt your Player of the Match after Brighton cup win
Olivia Holdt grabbed the winning goal in our Subway Players Cup victory at Brighton & Hove Albion to claim your Player of the Match.
Already picking up her second award of the season so far, Oli was once again influential in the contest as we picked up our first win of the competition’s league phase, with her first half strike proving to be the difference on the night at Broadfield Stadium.
Named our Player of the Match in our emphatic 7-0 victory at Crystal Palace, after she netted a stunning hat-trick, our number 11 has continued to impress since returning to the starting XI.
In an end-to-end first 30 minutes of the cup clash in Crawley as both sides spurred golden opportunities to take the lead, it took a moment of quality from the Denmark international to eventually break the deadlock nine minutes before time, curling a perfectly-place shot inside the far post after some good build-up play from Victoria Pelova.
That goal has already taken Oli’s number for the season to four in six games across all competitions after her hat-trick over Palace – where she became the second player in the Club’s history to score three goals in a single WSL game.
Our creative midfielder took 61 per cent of your Player of the Match votes to win the prize in a poll hosted exclusively on our Official App.
