While it has been a somewhat slow start to the season for us, which Tuesday's Carabao Cup exit at Anfield only added to, recent recruit Omar believes better times are just around the corner.

After the difficulties of last season, a rebuild took place over the summer which saw no less than 10 new players - including Omar - arrive at Hotspur Way to help transform our Men's First Team squad.

With so much change, naturally, a group will take time to gel and click but, with more and more minutes on the pitch together and performances continuing to improve, our Egyptian forward is seeing the right signs as we search for success.

Speaking to SPURSPLAY after the defeat to Liverpool, the man on loan from Manchester City said, "Every game we create more, more and more and more chances - I'm sure we are very close.

"If we keep trying... as everyone can see, we reach the goal so many times. We have so much quality on the pitch and from the people that come off the bench to give us this last push. When these small details click, it will be very, very good.

"These moments build the mentality and join the team together. We're all one big family, and we push all together. These small glimpses of success give us another push and we have to build this confidence within us.

"I have to say our fans were unbelievable (at Anfield). We've had their support since the very beginning and that's important. All of us in the Club, the staff, the fans, the coaching staff, everyone around us, we have to support each other in order to reach our goal because that's the only way you can reach it."
