George Abbott has joined League One side Mansfield Town on loan for the remainder of the 2026/27 season.
A product of our Academy, the 21-year-old midfielder rejoins Mansfield having spent the second half of the 2025/26 season on loan at the One Call Stadium, making 11 appearances in all competitions, scoring once.
Spending the first half of the previous season on loan at Wycombe Wanderers, he made his Premier League debut for us against Leeds United on the final day of the 2022/23 season.
George previously enjoyed a successful season-long loan with Notts County in 2024/25, helping the Magpies to the League Two play-offs. He also claimed the EFL Goal of the Season award for a sensational strike against Accrington Stanley in January, 2025, a goal which was also selected as the Sky Bet Goal of the Month.
