From the archives | Brentford vs Spurs
As we prepare for the big kick-off at Brentford on Saturday (5.30pm UK), here's a special, emotional moment as we dip into our photographic archives for our trips to TW8 down the years.
It came at the Gtech Community Stadium in April, 2022 as our fans were reunited with a former hero, Christian Eriksen.
Less than a year after his cardiac arrest playing for Denmark at Euro 2020 - delayed a year due to COVID - Christian had recovered, moved from Inter to Brentford and here he was, in front of the Spurs fans for the first time.
One of our midfield greats of the modern era - 305 appearances, 69 goals in all competitions, 2013-2020 - was greeted by his 'Erik-sen-sen-sen...' song from our away support and after the game, he made a point of going over and applauding our corner of the Gtech.
