Bartrip departs for Crystal Palace

We have reached agreement with Crystal Palace for the permanent transfer of Molly Bartrip.

The experienced centre-back departs having played an important role, both on and off the pitch, during five seasons at the Club, in which she made 114 appearances in all competitions.

Having first represented our Under-10s in the mid-2000s, Molly returned to north London when she signed from Reading in 2021 and has been a consistent performer in Lilywhite since.

Becoming a Spurs centurion in March, 2025, the defender was at the heart of some of our very best moments, including our first-ever win over Arsenal at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in December, 2023, and helped us reach the Women’s FA Cup Final for the first time in our history in May, 2024.

Molly was an ever-present figure in two of our seasons in England’s top flight – 2021/22 and 2024/25 – where she completed every single minute in our WSL fixtures – the only Spurs player to have achieved that feat since our promotion in 2019.

Named one of the vice-captains for the 2023/24 campaign, the 30-year-old has worn the armband on numerous occasions. Meanwhile, away from the pitch Molly has been committed to raising awareness around the importance of mental health.

We thank Molly for her contributions to the Club, and wish her all the best for the future.
