Mixed fortunes for Micky and record-breaker Lucas on World Cup debuts
Micky van de Ven and Lucas Bergvall made their World Cup debuts for Netherlands and Sweden on Sunday night and in the early hours of Monday morning.
Micky started as left-back for the Netherlands, who were hit by a late equaliser as it ended 2-2 against Japan in Texas. A somewhat cagey encounter came to life in the second half - the Dutch led twice through Virgil van Dijk (51 minutes) and Crysencio Summerville (64) only to be hauled back by Keito Nakamura (57) and Daichi Kamada with a minute remaining.

Lucas made history when he stepped off the bench in Sweden's impressive 5-1 win against Tunisia in Monterrey - at 20 years, four months and 13 days, becoming the youngest player to play for Sweden at the World Cup, two days younger than when former United, Milan and Everton forward Jesper Blomqvist featured in 1994.
Lucas came on for Benjamin Nygren with Sweden 3-1 up and made an impact, his trademark high press won the ball back for Brighton's Yasin Ayari to lash home Sweden's fifth and final goal in the sixth minute of added time. Ayari opened the scoring with Alexander Isak, Viktor Gyokeres and Mattias Svanberg also on target.
Next up - the Spurs team-mates are set to face each other when the Netherlands take on Sweden in the second group game on Saturday (6pm).
