Vote Xavi for Premier League's Goal of the Month

Xavi Simons has been nominated for the Premier League's Guinness Goal of the Month award for April.

The creative midfielder's stunning curler in the 2-2 draw with Brighton is one of the eight strikes shortlisted across the month.

Making his first league start since the start of March, our number seven was at the heart of everything as he first produced a delightful clipped assist for Pedro Porro to head in the opener before he bent a beauty from the edge of the area to restore our lead in the second half after Kaoru Mitoma had equalised for the visitors on the stroke of half-time.

Unfortunately, a leveller deep into stoppage-time from Brighton's Georginio Rutter denied it from being the winner in Roberto De Zerbi's first game in charge at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

There is competition for April's prize with Liverpool pair Rio Ngumoha and Andy Robertson, Leeds United's James Justin, Brighton's Kaoru Mitoma, Manchester City's Rayan Cherki, Arsenal's Eberechi Eze and Brentford's Mathias Jensen also nominated.

To win the award, Xavi will need your help. Please show your support by voting for him before 12pm on Monday 4 May via the link below.
