Goalscorer Erik Lamela was the clear winner of our supporters’ Man of the Match poll after Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Everton.
The Argentine international attacker hit the target against both Juventus and Inter Milan in pre-season and wasted little time in carrying over his fine form into the new Premier League campaign, glancing home Kyle Walker’s cross with a brilliant header to restore parity at Goodison Park after Ross Barkley had given the home side the lead.
In all, Erik took a whopping 71.8 per cent of fans’ votes for Man of the Match on Twitter and Facebook.
Spurs TV caught up with the 24-year-old after the game…
MAN OF THE MATCH – EVERTON AWAY
Erik Lamela – 71.8%
Kyle Walker – 18.5%
Toby Alderweireld – 9.7%
As always, thanks to everyone who voted!
