Spurs 3-0 Dinamo Tbilisi - Jermain's joy
Jermain Defoe's double against Dinamo Tbilisi lifted him above two of the club's greats and up to sixth in our list of all-time top goalscorers.
JD struck twice in five minutes just before half-time at the Lane to take his tally to 135 goals in 344 matches.
That took him above Alan Gilzean (133) and Len Duquemin (134) and his next target is George Hunt in fifth - he needs four more goals to overtake the 1930s striker.
Jermain's two goals helped us to a 3-0 win against the team from Georgia and 8-0 aggregate scoreline in the Europa League play-off.
He said: "After winning the first leg 5-0, it’s not always as easy as people think. You have to keep moving the ball, stay professional, forget about the first game and try to get the right result. We’re all delighted to have done that.
"It was great to score, but the most important thing is to win. Everyone is happy."
