Take up tennis this summer with the Tottenham Foundation
With the tennis season now in full swing, Tottenham Hotspur Foundation’s award winning tennis programme is offering residents the opportunity to take part in a range of professional coaching sessions.
Based at White Hart Lane Tennis Club, Wood Green, and Downhills Park Tennis Club, Tottenham, the programme offers players of all ages and abilities the chance to develop their court skills with coaching from qualified Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) instructors.
Working alongside Haringey Council, the LTA and the Tennis
Foundation, the programme includes age specific sessions helping to
develop young people’s key tennis techniques and cardio tennis sessions
for those wishing to improve their overall fitness. The programme also
offers Family Time sessions allowing parents and children to play
together for fun under the guidance of an LTA tennis coach.
Group coaching sessions start from as little as £3 per person with all rackets and equipment provided.
Tottenham Hotspur Foundation’s Tennis Development Officer, Siwan Stephens, said:
“With
Wimbledon just around the corner there is no better time to take up
tennis. Our sessions offer high quality coaching at affordable prices
helping individuals to develop their game, no matter if they are
seasoned players or just picking up a tennis racquet for the first
time.”
Tottenham Hotspur Foundation is looking to expand its
successful tennis programme across north London over the coming months
with the aim of working with schools and education services to provide
high quality curriculum based coaching during or beyond the school day.
