Mauricio Pochettino is confident Christian Eriksen will be back up to full speed in time to take on Huddersfield on Saturday.
The in-form playmaker was a late withdrawal from the trip to Cyprus earlier this week due to illness and missed Tuesday night’s fine 3-0 win against APOEL in the Champions League.
He trained on Thursday and looks all set to return for the 12.30pm kick-off as we step back into Premier League action at the John Smith’s Stadium.

“Today, he showed us good energy,” reported Mauricio after training on Thursday. “We hope that tomorrow he’ll feel good and he’ll be available to select, if we want. I don’t believe it’s a big issue.”
Mauricio was asked about Christian’s fine form. “From day one, Christian has been a very consistent player for us. I’m so happy with him.
“In his position, he’s one of the best and as a player, he fits so well into our philosophy. He’s so young and we believe he can improve. Like Harry, he’s showing very good performances every week.”
