Louis Saha said he felt at home 'from the first minute' of his dream debut against Newcastle.
The striker stepped out for his full debut at White Hart Lane for a huge clash against the Magpies - 20 minutes in and he’d scored twice and we were 3-0 up.
Benoit Assou-Ekotto opened the scoring in the fifth minute, Louis added his double on seven and 20 and Niko Kranjcar made it a first half to remember with the fourth.
Emmanuel Adebayor completed the 5-0 scoreline with a much-deserved goal in the second half.
“I’m not that young but it was like a dream for a young boy,” said Louis. “You make a debut, score two goals on your new ground, it’s amazing.
“From the first minute I felt so confident. There is so much quality here, the desire is unbelievable.
“To score after five minutes was a brilliant start. Newcastle are a difficult team but it was an open game and we scored early, it was great to be on the end of a great move.
“We played some terrific football, especially in the first half.
“In the second half they changed to one striker, tightened up in midfield and it was a bit harder.
“Overall, it was a brilliant performance, a real joy.”
