Josh Onomah and Kyle Walker-Peters saw their European Under-19 Championship journey with England come to an end at the semi-final stage today (Thursday, July 21).
The midfielder and full-back both completed 90 minutes as the Young Lions were beaten 2-1 by Italy in Mannheim, Germany.
Federico Dimarco gave the Azzurri a two-goal lead, his first one coming from the penalty spot, with Alberto Picchi’s late own goal setting up a grandstand finish.
There was to be no comeback, though, with Josh and Kyle heading home having featured in all four of their nation’s matches in the competition.
