1902Â Â Â We win the Dewar Shield, beating Corinthians 5-2. The competition later becomes the Charity Shield.
1997   Ronnie Rosenthal’s great night at Southampton. Trailing 2-0 in an FA Cup fifth round replay, the Rocket goes on as sub to inspire us to a 6-2 win after extra time, scoring three times in the process.

1946Â Â Â We beat Chelsea 4-2 in a White Hart Lane friendly. George Foreman bags two.
2014Â Â Â Roberto Soldado (pictured, above) nets to give us single goal win over Cardiff City at White Hart Lane.
3Â Â Â FRIDAY
1928   Manager Billy Minter introduces a training regime that includes long walks across snow covered fields in preparation for our fifth round FA Cup tie at Huddersfield. As a result all our players go into the game with heavy colds – and we lose 6-1! We are also relegated at the end of the season.
1973Â Â Â We win the League Cup, beating Norwich City 1-0 at Wembley. Substitute Ralph Coates is our match winner.
4Â Â Â SATURDAY
Erik Lamela’s 25th birthday.
1997   Steffen Iversen scores a hat-trick at Sunderland. We win 4-0 with Allan Nielsen also on target.
2007   Paul Stalteri’s late goal gives us a 4-3 win over West Ham United at Upton Park.
5Â Â Â SUNDAY
SPURS v EVERTON, Premier league, at White Hart Lane, 1.30pm
1921Â Â Â We beat Aston Villa by a single Jimmy Banks goal at the Lane, on our way to ultimate FA Cup success.
1938Â Â Â A record 75,038 White Hart Lane crowd watches our FA Cup quarter-final tie with Sunderland. Our Division Two side goes down by the only goal.
6Â Â Â MONDAY
1985   Our first home defeat ever in European competition – Real Madrid depart with a 1-0 UEFA Cup win thanks to Steve Perryman’s own goal.
7Â Â Â TUESDAY
1959Â Â Â Terry Medwin (pictured, below) scores four as we beat Leicester City 6-0 at the Lane.
2015Â Â Â A Harry Kane brace in a 2-1 win at QPR where Sandro scores for the hosts.

1902Â Â Â We beat Swindon 7-1 in the Southern League. Sandy Brown bags three.
1909Â Â Â We return from Chesterfield with a 3-1 Division Two win. We are promoted at the end of the season while the Spireites go down.

1895Â Â Â We lose 5-4 at home to Old Westminsters in the London Senior Cup.
1935Â Â Â A 1-1 draw at Portsmouth. Sam Bell makes his debut and Tom Meads plays his last game for us. Willie Evans nets from the penalty spot.

1958Â Â Â Garth Crooks born in Stoke. He would join us from the Potters in July, 1980.
1973Â Â Â John Polston scores his only Spurs goal as we beat Norwich City 3-0 at the Lane. He moves to Carrow Road in July, 1990.

2000Â Â Â We beat Southampton 7-2. Steffen Iversen scores three and Chris Armstrong bags two.

1912Â Â Â Willie Hall born in Newark and would join us from Notts County in December, 1932.
1977Â Â Â Defender Jimmy Holmes makes his Spurs debut but we lose 2-0 at home to West Bromwich Albion.

1907Â Â Â John Cameron, one of the most influential characters in our early history, resigns as manager.
2002   Mauricio Taricco (pictured, below) is sent off for the second consecutive league game. We lose both 4-0 – at Manchester United and then at Chelsea.

1931Â Â Â Jimmy Smailes scores on his debut at home against Bradford City. We win 3-1 with Ted Harper bagging a brace.
2013   Emmanuel Adebayor’s crucial late away goal sends us into the Europa League quarter-finals following a 4-4 aggregate draw with Inter Milan.
15Â Â Â WEDNESDAY
1902Â Â Â White Hart Lane stages an FA Cup semi-final between Nottingham Forest and Southampton. Saints win 3-1 but would go down to Sheffield United after a replay in the final.
1995Â Â Â Gary Mabbutt makes the 700th appearance of his career, a goalless draw with Manchester United at Old Trafford.
16Â Â Â THURSDAY
1999Â Â Â Memorable goal from David Ginola at Barnsley as we win 1-0 to reach the FA Cup semi-finals.
2001   George Graham’s reign as Spurs boss comes to an end.

Federico Fazio’s 30th birthday.
2001   David Pleat’s first game as caretaker manager results in a 3-0 home win over Coventry City.
2013Â Â Â We lose by the only goal at home to Fulham. Former Spurs man Dimitar Berbatov scores the winner.

1961Â Â Â We reach the FA Cup final after a 3-0 semi win over Burnley at Villa Park. Bobby Smith scores twice.
2006Â Â Â Aaron Lennon (pictured, below) scores his first Spurs goal, in a 2-0 win at Birmingham City who are relegated at the end of the season.

1983   Alan Brazil makes his Spurs debut at Watford. Steve Perryman is dismissed but we win through Mark Falco’s goal.
2005Â Â Â We beat Manchester City 2-1 at the Lane. Jermain Defoe and Robbie Keane share our goals.
