We made it three wins on the trot in the Premier League on Sunday evening with a 4-1 victory over Crystal Palace.

Harry Kane and Gareth Bale grabbed the headlines in the clash at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as the pair bagged a brace each. Harry teed up Gareth for the opener on 25 minutes before repeating the feat just four minutes after the break to restore our lead following Christian Benteke’s equaliser on the stroke of half-time. Our number 10 then opened his account on 51 minutes, striking sublimely to put us further ahead before he wrapped up the scoring with his second 15 minutes from time as he headed home Heung-Min Son’s cross.

Here’s a look at some of the key statistics and numbers behind the game...

Highlights: Spurs 4-1 Crystal Palace (07.03.21)

12 unbeaten against Palace

12 - We have now gone 12 Premier League games without defeat against Crystal Palace (W10 D2) - our longest ongoing unbeaten run against any side in the competition.

23 - We haven’t suffered a home league defeat to Palace for over 23 years – we were last beaten by the Eagles in a top flight game in N17 back in November, 1997. It is now eight home league games unbeaten for us against the south London side (W7 D2).

6 - We have won each of our last six home league games against Palace.

16 - Christian Benteke’s goal was the first goal we have conceded at home in the league against Palace for over 16 years. Andy Johnson was the last Eagles player to score in a league game in N17 back in December, 2004.

5.2 - Roy Hodgson has won just one of his 19 Premier League games against us – a win percentage of 5.2.

6 - Jose Mourinho remains unbeaten against Hodgson in the Premier League after six meetings (W3 D3).

Building momentum

+18 - In the Premier League, only four teams have scored more goals than us (46), only three teams have conceded fewer than us (28) and only two sides have a better goal difference (+18).

100 - We have now scored 100 goals in all competitions this season (including qualifiers) – across Europe’s ‘big-five’ leagues, only German side Bayern Munich have scored more (106).

4 - Our win over Palace was the fifth time we have scored at least four goals in our last eight games.

24 - Only Manchester City (35) have taken more points at home than us (24) in the Premier League this season.

3 - We have recorded three successive wins in the Premier League for the first time since December.

17 - We extended our run of Premier League home games unbeaten against sides starting the day in the bottom half of the table to 17 (W13 D4).

2 - We have now won back-to-back Premier League London derbies for the first time since July, 2020, while we have lost just two of our last 14 capital clashes in all competitions.

Harry's hitting the heights

14 - Harry Kane has scored more goals on a Sunday than any other player in the Premier League this campaign with 14 goals in 17 games. The record for most goals scored on a Sunday in single campaign in the competition’s history is 17, achieved by Wayne Rooney in 2011/12.

2 - Prior to our 4-1 win, Harry had never scored in a home league fixture against Crystal Palace – all five of his previous league goals against the Eagles had come at Selhurst Park.

29 - Our number 10 has been directly involved in more Premier League goals than any other player this season (29), scoring 16 and assisting 13. Only Robert Lewandowksi (Bayern Munich) has contributed to more league goals (37) in Europe’s ‘big five’ leagues this year than Harry.

40 - Our homegrown forward has also been involved in 40 goals in 36 games in all competitions this season, scoring 24 and assisting 16. His best return of goal involvements for a single campaign is 46 (41 goals, five assists) which he recorded in the 2017/18 season. Again, only Robert Lewandowksi (Bayern Munich) has contributed to more goals (45) than Harry in all competitions this season.

13 - Harry has provided more league assists (13) than any other player across Europe’s top five divisions. Only two Spurs players in Premier League history have provided more assists than that in a season – Christian Eriksen (15 in 2016/17) and Darren Anderton (14 in 1994/95).

2 - Harry is the first Spurs player to score at least two goals and provide at least two assists in a game since Jurgen Klinsmann against Wimbledon in May, 1998 (four goals, two assists).
