There’s still a lot for us to play for as we head into the final few games of the season, but Gareth Bale knows we cannot start to look too far ahead.
Just five games remain for us this term yet, while we head into tonight’s clash with Sheffield United sitting seventh, a place in the top four is still within our sights. Gareth, however, is keeping his focus solely on this evening’s encounter against the Blades with the aim of taking all three points.
“Obviously, it’s never nice losing a final but, we know there is still a lot to play for this season,” he told us ahead of kick-off at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. “We know it is going to be difficult to get into the top four, but we have to keep working hard, keep our heads down.
“I think we have to take each game as it comes. It’s not in our hands, as we know, with the teams above us, but all we can do is look after ourselves and try to get the victory tonight.”
