Latest from north London - Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

Pierre-Emile Højbjerg feels there is the necessary desire in our ranks to turn around our tough recent run of results – but he knows that must begin today against Burnley (2pm kick-off).

Speaking ahead of the game in north London, the midfielder highlighted the importance of the clash with the Clarets as we set out to end a run of back-to-back defeats in the top flight. However, our summer arrival from Southampton is fully aware of the challenge that Sean Dyche’s well-drilled side pose.

“It’s a big game today, we can’t hide away from that. We need to focus on what we need to do and that’s to get a positive result, which is a win,” the Dane explained. “We will do our best. The ambition is there, and we will try our best.

“It’s important to keep your eyes on the target, keep your focus on what we can do better. We’ve done that, the whole team is working really well, so it’s nice to have the feeling that there is that ambition in the team, in the club. We have to do our best today, and fight for a big result.

“Burnley are a good, organised team. They have their style of play implemented into the team, the players, the manager, they will come and be very solid and it’s up to us to break that and take our chances.”
