Yago helps take Almeria to within sight of la liga

Yago Falque played his part as Almeria took a valuable 1-0 lead against Girona in the play-off for a place in Spain's La Liga on Wednesday night.

The skilful forward played the full 90 minutes in the first leg and was involved in the move that led to Brazilian striker Charles scoring the only goal on 49 minutes.

Almeria goalkeeper Felipe Esteban made sure they held onto that lead by saving Felipe Sanchon's penalty.

The teams meet for the second leg at Almeria's Estadio de los Juegos Mediterraneos (Mediterranean Games Stadium) on Saturday - the prize for the winners, a place in La Liga next season.
