Xtra - Social Spurs - Erik's Twitter Q&A
12 November 2013|Tottenham Hotspur
The day after opening his Spurs account, Erik Lamela fielded questions from our fans on Twitter.
The Argentinian international thrilled the crowd at White Hart Lane with his performance against FC Sheriff as we safely booked our passage into the knockout stage of the Europa League.
Erik opened the scoring with a sweet left-foot drive in the 59th minute and his trickery on the ball then earned a penalty that Jermain Defoe converted to become our top European goalscorer.
The night belonged to Erik though and less than 24 hours later, he was ready for his Q&A from our followers @SpursOfficial.
ERIK LAMELA, TWITTER Q&A
Let's start with this one from @DannyDickin: 'could you hear us singing your name last night (Thurs)?' (#AlwaysTakeLamelaWithYou) #Lamela11
Erik: "I heard something, I knew something was going on but I couldn’t quite understand it. I haven’t heard that song but I'll look it up."
Next question is from @TalkingTHFC: 'How did it feel to score, Erik?'
Erik: "It felt great. I feel good because we won but also because I am settling in."
Question from @AniketOfficial: 'Who do you think deserves to win the ballon d'or 2013?'
Erik [and he didn't think about this for long]: "I'd give it to Messi."
Next question is from @JoeHamIsMyHero: 'How is his family doing in London now?'
Erik: 'It's going well. They don't know the language but we will start learning it little by little."
And following on from that, @COYSNews ask: 'How good is your English now?'
Erik: 'I'm learning as I go and I have lessons after training as well."
Next question is from @mrlewistaylor: 'how is the football different from Italy to England?'
Erik: "Yes, it's different. Serie A is more tactical and calmer but here is a more vertical style."
Question from @Spurs_India: 'who is your best pal in the team?'
Erik: "Well, @R9Soldado as he speaks my language but @Knaughts88 @KyleWalker2 @sandroraniere. Everyone really."
'Felicidades Erik! Who is your biggest Argentinian footballing idol?', from @Diaz
Erik: "Messi and Aguero'."
Next question from @AviGolan25: 'best thing about living in london?'
Erik: "I like Central London. I like to walk with my family around Piccadilly area and other parts of the city."
And the final Q for #Lamela11 is @Belgian_Hotspur's: 'Can you say 'Come On You Spurs' in your native language?'
Thanks again for your questions and look out for another Q&A soon!
