Milos Veljkovic believes his ability to play in more than one position can be beneficial to both himself and the Club.
The Serbian youth international was sometimes utilised at centre-half when playing for our Development Squad over the course of the recently-concluded campaign.
But it was his endeavours in central midfield that earned him his top flight debut towards the end of the season, the 18-year-old going on as a substitute in our wins against Sunderland and Aston Villa after a string of impressive showings in the Barclays Under-21 Premier League.
“I’ve always seen myself as a defensive midfielder,” the Switzerland-born youngster explained. “But I’ve played centre-back loads of times and I think it’s good to play both positions.
“You can then have more opportunities to play. You can be put onto the pitch in different positions and perhaps it gives you a better chance.”
