NUMBER 10...
Our 4-0 win in the FA Cup fifth round at Fulham, February 18…
A vital victory that revitalised the team for the rest of the season. Inspired by two identical, spectacular Robbie Keane volleys and rounded off by two cool finishes from Dimitar Berbatov, we ran out comfortable winners at Craven Cottage and went on to lose just three of our final 19 games in all competitions, including just one in the league.
WHAT THE FANS SAID...
John Stephens: “Robbie Keane scoring his first against Fulham this year, it changed our season and got us moving again in the right direction with full confidence.”
TKTudor: “It has to be the FA Cup tie against Fulham. We won 4-0 and went to Everton a few days later and beat them 2-1. That’s when we knew we were on a roll, we went a month without defeat and both Keano and Berbatov were scoring spectacular goals. The press and the TV pundits stood up and took notice of how good Berbatov was.”
Geoff Wright: “The 4-0 win at Fulham was in my opinion the highlight of the season as I believe it was the trigger for the fine end to the season.”
Mark Lewis: “Berbatov's sublime flick over the keeper to make it 4-0 against Fulham - a moment of pure genius from our Bulgarian maestro.”
