Worthington Cup Final
Spurs 1 Leicester City 0
Like the FA Cup in 1991, this was another against-the-odds triumph at
All looked lost when, with just an hour on the clock, Justin Edinburgh
reacted to Robbie Savage’s tackle, the City midfielder clutched his face and
the long-serving defender was shown the red card.
In a war of attrition, with Leicester determined to snub out the threat of
wing wizard David Ginola, chances were few and far between.

hero of the hour Allan Nielsen to dive head home the winner.
A match to forget, an afternoon to remember.
Team: Walker, Carr, Edinburgh, Freund, Vega, Campbell, Nielsen, Ginola
(Sinton), Anderton, Iversen, Ferdinand.
