Nabil's dream

Thu 27 November 2014, 16:00|Tottenham Hotspur

Nabil Bentaleb has a dream – to play alongside Harry Kane, Ryan Mason and Andros Townsend in the first team at Spurs.

All four came through the Academy system at the club and all played their part as our Under-21s won Group Two and then the Elite Group in the Barclays U21 Premier League in 2012-13.

However, with Harry, Andros and Ryan regularly away on loan, the four didn’t appear together in the same team at that level.

Ryan has made his breakthrough this season and with Nabil back from injury, all four are now in and around the squad.

Ryan has shone in Nabil’s absence and Nabil has been delighted to watch from the sidelines as he’s recovered from injury.

“I’m pleased for Ryan,” he said. “We used to play alongside each other for the Under-21s and he deserves all the credit, he deserves it.

“He had to work hard for his chance, he got it and took it.

“Hopefully we’ll play together one day soon, plus Harry and Andros. We all at different times for our Under-21s so to play all together for the first team would be magnificent.”
