AS Monaco have advised us that all supporters will be thoroughly searched on entry to the stadium this evening.
There is a drop off point provided for larger bags and rucksacks as these will not be permitted into the stadium.
To assist in ensuring all supporters are searched and gain entry to the stadium in time for kick-off - which is 8.45pm local time - AS Monaco advise supporters to arrive at the stadium an hour before kick-off, 7.45pm local time.
Spurs supporters can catch a direct train to Monaco-Monte-Carlo from Nice St Augustin station, which is within walking distance (approximately 15 minutes) or a short bus ride (costing one Euro) from Terminal 1 at Nice airport.
A timetable search for trains from Nice St Augustin to Monaco-Monte-Carlo can be found HERE.
Trains run regularly and the journey takes just over 30 minutes. Please note, the rail fare to Monaco from Nice St Augustin will be fractionally more expensive than from Nice Ville train station.
There is a train available from Monaco-Monte-Carlo to Nice St Augustin after the match and local police will ensure our fans get to the station in time.
Stade Louis II
Ligue 1 side AS Monaco’s stadium is Stade Louis II in the Fontvielle district of Monaco.
Originally opened in 1939, the stadium was re-built in the early 1980s, opening fully in 1985. It has a capacity of 18,523 and from 1998-2012 was the venue for UEFA’s annual Super Cup match between the winners of the Champions League and Europa League.
Tottenham Hotspur fans will be located in Sector H, which has excellent catering and welfare facilities.
Fans will be searched prior to entry by local Police. As always, THFC stewards will be on hand to ‘meet and greet’ and to assist with any problems.
The location has excellent sight lines although there is a running track around the pitch.
Access to the first level of seating is up 73 steps with a further 23 steps to the upper level.
The usual prohibited items will apply and in particular, please be aware that lighters and phone chargers will be removed prior to entry. THFC stewards will be on hand with envelopes and will retain these throughout the match to be collected at the end. As always we would ask you to abide by the regulations at the stadium and approach a THFC steward for any advice on the night.
Flags and banners are welcome, but will be checked on entry. It is common policy and normal ground rules at football stadia in the UK and elsewhere in Europe, that flags of an overtly religious/sectarian/political nature will not be permitted and may be confiscated - please respect this request.
A decision will be taken on the night as to whether or not fans will be held back and you should listen for any announcements which may affect you.
The Club is rightly proud of its good behaviour during previous European travels and we would ask that you uphold this by respecting local amenities and cultures. Please do not place flags and banners on any buildings as this may cause offence.
Should you experience any problems whilst in Monaco, please call our Travel Line - 07917 880445. This number will be available throughout the day/evening of the match.
Finally, as always, please remember that you are an Ambassador for the Club and we would respectfully request that you behave accordingly throughout the entirety of your visit.
