Marton Fulop

12 November 2015|Tottenham Hotspur

We were deeply saddened to hear of the death of our former goalkeeper Marton Fulop, who has passed away at the age of 32.

The Hungarian international joined us from MTK Budapest in May, 2004. Marton didn’t make a first team appearance for us but was on the bench on 21 occasions including 19 times in the 2004-05 campaign.

Always a popular member of the squad, Marton, capped 23 times by Hungary and a further 18 at Under-21 level, left us for Sunderland in 2006.

He went on to make his Premier League debut for the Black Cats and also played for Leicester City, Manchester City, Ipswich Town, West Brom and Asteras Tripolis in Greece.

Our thoughts are with Marton’s family and friends at this sad time.
