Josh follows in hero’s footsteps

Wed 26 October 2016, 04:00|Tottenham Hotspur

Little over nine years ago, Josh Onomah was a student at Southbury Primary School in Enfield, taking part in the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation’s school multi-sports programme.

An occasion the young midfielder will never forget is the day Dimitar Berbatov made a surprise appearance at his school and joined him and his class-mates in a PE lesson.

Getting the chance to meet one of his Spurs heroes at the age of 10 helped inspire Josh to progress through the Academy and into our First Team ranks over those next few years.

This week, it was the 19-year-old’s turn to provide inspiration for the next generation of budding young footballers as he appeared at one of our half-term Soccer Schools at Woodhouse College in Barnet.
