In the meantime Sol Chan Won, chairman of South Korea Spurs and vice-manager of Spurs fan community 'go for the top! Tottenham Hotspur!' gave us the lowdown on the new club...

How popular has South Korea Spurs been since it became official?
Sol Chan Won: "The Spurs community (online) in which our club is based has about 10,000 members. We communicate a lot via the social network and we met for the first time last week."

How long have you supported Spurs?
Sol Chan Won: "I remember Gareth Bale played against Manchester City, scored and Spurs won 3-1 at White Hart Lane. That match impressed me so much and after that I've followed every game."

What is your first memory of supporting Spurs?
Sol Chan Won: "In Korea, THFC is actually well known and a familiar name before I was a fan because of Young-Pyo Lee (a South Korea international who played for us between 2005 and 2008). As for the first memory of Spurs I would say the Champions League match against Inter Milan – Bale and Spurs were incredible that night."

Who are your favourite players past and present?
Sol Chan Won: "Before, it was Gareth Bale. Presently, it is Hugo Lloris and Harry Kane. They just do better and better."

What have you made of our season so far?
Sol Chan Won: "Even though we drew games at the start of the season, I always found that the performances were good. Now it seems we're playing very well. Kane is scoring and we're all happy about that. All members of our Supporters’ Club hope we reach the Champions League. If Heung-Min Son plays well, then that will be a great help for Spurs."

How popular is the club in South Korea at the moment?
Sol Chan Won: "There are tons of articles about Son and Spurs in the sports news in Korea and many people are interested in Spurs."

What is your favourite moment from Son in a Spurs shirt so far?
Sol Chan Won: "My favourite Son moment was in the match against Crystal Palace. I thought it would end in a draw, but Son scored and Spurs won the game. It was a big sensation. Son's goal has triggered an explosion of interest in his performances and Spurs from our Korean Spurs community."
