Gareth, Daws scoop awards

Michael Dawson and Gareth Bale's excellent performances this season were recognised with two awards each as our One Hotspur Members and Supporters Clubs' awards were presented after Saturday's win against Bolton.

Michael Dawson and Gareth Bale's excellent performances this season were recognised with two awards each as our One Hotspur Members and Supporters Clubs' awards were presented after Saturday's win against Bolton.

Seven awards were handed out in front of a packed house at the Lane as fans remained behind to salute the players after the final home match of the season.

The players also thanked the supporters on their traditional lap of honour.

Michael picked up the Supporters Clubs Player of the Season and One Hotspur Player of the Season while Gareth was named International Supporters Clubs Young Player of the Season and One Hotspur Junior Player of the Season.

‘Daws' has been a defensive rock since cementing his place in the side in November. He's started 32 of our last 33 matches and captained the side in Ledley King's absence, his performances earning support for a place in England's World Cup squad.

Gareth has been a revelation since returning to the side in January.

He's started all of our 24 matches since January 2 in either left-back or left midfield and won a host of Man of the Match Awards, the FA Cup's Player of the Round Award for the fifth round and now the Barclays Premier League Player of the Month for April.
