From the Carribbean to the Lane
24 February 2016|Tottenham Hotspur
We were delighted to see West Indies cricket legend, Phil Simmons, and current captain Jason Holder at the Lane last weekend.
Simmons was part of some of the great West Indies test sides of the late 80s/early 90s and says he first fell in love with the Club during our 1981 FA Cup success.
He is coach of the current West Indies side and he has taken it upon himself to convert his star player into a Spurs fan as well.
Holder tweeted after the match ‘Big new signing? Or just a new fan? What a pleasure it was yesterday at White Hart Lane.’ Clearly, it was mission accomplished for Phil!
