"It was a little bit difficult to leave because I had a good relationship with PSV, but I wanted this transfer to Tottenham and I am so happy to be here.
"I wanted to play in England and Tottenham is a very good team. I heard from players in the Netherlands and other countries that Tottenham is a good place to be - and I think so too.

Young-Pyo's career really took off during World Cup 2002 which was co-hosted by Japan and his homeland. Not long after South Korea's successful campaign, that saw them reach the semi-final stage, he followed his national team coach Guss Hiddink to Holland and enjoyed the experience of Champions League football - in which PSV reached the semi-final stage last season.
"It is was a very important turning point for me and after it I got to move to Europe. The second turning point was the Champions League and now coming here is a very big thing in my personal history," he added, before being pressed on describing himself as a player.
"My football style is a little bit attacking, but my first mission is defending. If I get the chance I will attack and that is my style."
