Debut for Dele, first competitive start for Harry
09 October 2015|Tottenham Hotspur
It was a night of firsts for our two players on England duty as the Three Lions toppled Estonia 2-0 at Wembley on Friday night.
Dele Alli, just 19, was a late introduction off the bench for his senior England debut in the Euro 2016 qualifier.
Outstanding in a Spurs shirt this season, Dele entered the fray in the 88th minute for Ross Barkley and had one break into the box in added time that came to nothing.
Harry Kane earned his fifth cap, made his first competitive start and first start at Wembley.
It was a frustrating night on a personal level for the striker, who led the line tirelessly but didn't have a clear-cut chance all night.
However, Harry did play his part in the second goal when Jamie Vardy raced onto his flick and squared for Raheem Sterling to tap home. Theo Walcott earlier opened the scoring just before half-time.
Andros Townsend and Kyle Walker remained unused substitutes as England made it nine wins out of nine in Euro 2016 qualifying.
Our England quartet will now travel to Lithuania for the final qualifier on Monday evening.
