After a stellar maiden campaign in the WSL with us last term, it was a tough to see Ella Morris suffer an anterior cruciate ligament injury (ACL) in May, 2025, but the young full-back showed resilience and character in her rehabilitation to play a key part in the last few weeks of our record-breaking 2025/26 WSL campaign.
Stepping up to England’s top flight for the first time in her career after joining us from Southampton in July, 2024, Ella enjoyed a strong first year in N17 as she was named Junior Supporters’ Player of the Season and received her first call-up to England senior squad in May despite making just 13 appearances in total in an injury-hampered term.
But, while on international duty for the Lionesses, she suffered an ACL injury that would rule her out for the majority of the 2025/26 season. Ella made her return to action in April, 2026, at Chelsea in the Women’s FA Cup before starting in all three of our remaining WSL fixtures.

Life before Spurs
Ella joined Southampton at the age of 14 and progressed through their academy system before breaking into the first team, making her senior debut during the 2018/19 campaign. She recorded 117 appearances for the south coast club and scored 14 goals in that time, helping them earn promotion to the FA Women's Championship for the first time in their history in May, 2022.
International
Ella has represented England at Under-23s level on a regular basis since earning her first cap for the Young Lionesses in April, 2023. She received her maiden call-up to England senior squad in May, 2025.
