George Feeney

Born in Newport, Wales, he attended Ashfield Boys’ High School in Northern Ireland and played for East Belfast before joining the Gens, for whom he made 10 senior appearances, scoring on his first start in a League Cup tie against Dollingstown as a 15-year-old in October, 2023, thus becoming the club’s youngest-ever goalscorer.

Having played primarily as a striker for Glentoran, George transitioned into a central midfield role with our Under-18s in 2024/25, helping us win the Under-17 Premier League Cup.

He signed his first professional contract in January, 2025, and continued to feature regularly for our Under-18s in 2025/26 before stepping up to Under-21 level this term.

Having previously represented Wales at youth international level, he now plays for Northern Ireland Under-19s.
