Selma Panengstuen joined us in June, 2026, from SK Brann, becoming our fifth signing of the summer transfer window.

The 23-year-old Norway international completed the move to England for the first time in her career after spending all her career to date in her home country of Norway. She had spent two seasons at SK Brann before making the switch to north London in the summer of 2026.

Life before Spurs

Selma began her senior career at Raufoss IL and spent two seasons there, competing in the Norwegian First Division, before earning a move to top-flight side Stabaek in 2020.

Making her Toppserien debut at the age of 18 in July, 2021, the young shot stopper made a further three appearances in the league that campaign – 12 in total across her two seasons at the club – before securing a move to Kolbotn ahead of the 2022 season.

Earning more regular playing time during her spell in Kolbotn, she began to make a name for herself in Norway by becoming the first goalkeeper to win the First Division Player of the Year in 2023, helping her side to promotion back to Norway’s top flight.

Arriving at SK Brann for the 2025 campaign with Martin at the helm, she became an integral part of their squad in her maiden season, where she started in all 27 league games and preserved 18 clean sheets to help the Bergen-based side to their second league title and the first in her career.

In the opening stages of this term, Selma has kept eight clean sheets in 11 league games while also making her debut in the UEFA Women’s Champions League, which included keeping Manchester United at bay in their 1-0 win at home in the first leg of the third qualifying round.

International

Receiving her maiden call-up to Norway squad in 2022, the goalkeeper made her senior international debut in June, 2025, against Sweden in an international friendly.
