Sávio

An exciting and pacey winger, Sávio introduced himself to Spurs fans in style – a goal within 11 minutes of his debut off the bench against Charlton in the Carabao Cup on 26 August.

Life before Spurs

Born in São Mateus, Sávio signed for the youth team of Atletico Mineiro, earning his professional debut aged just 16 in August, 2020. In his second season, he helped the team secure an historic domestic treble. Sávio signed for French side Troyes in 2022, but moved on loan to PSV in 2022/23 before another loan, this time to Girona, sparked his breakthrough. Sávio lit up La Liga with 11 goals in 41 appearances as Girona finished a club-best third, securing UEFA Champions League football for the first time. Sávio competed 104 dribbles - 18 more than any other player in La Liga. A move to the Premier League and City was next in July, 2024. Sávio made 84 appearances, scoring seven goals, and was part of the team that secured a domestic cup double in 2025/26, as City won both the Carabao Cup and FA Cup, before his switch to Spurs.

Brazil

After featuring for his country’s youth teams across a number of age groups, Sávio earned his first call-up to Brazil’s senior squad in March, 2024, making his debut in the same month against England in a 1-0 victory at Wembley Stadium. He represented his nation at the 2024 Copa America.
