A reliable option down the left-hand side, ‘Tilly’ featured in 26 games in 2025/26 as she grown in confidence as the season progressed to help us achieve one of our best-ever campaigns in the Women’s Super League.
Starting in 22 of our 29 games for the campaign, Tilly was more clinical in the final third in the second half of the season, including a stunning strike against West Ham United in February, 2026. That was one of her two goals while she registered six assists to represent a personal best goal contribution for a season in Lilywhite.
Tilly joined us January, 2024, following a stint with Hammarby IF and has since racked up 67 appearances at Spurs in all competitions, scoring four goals, and was part of the squad that reached our first-ever Women’s FA Cup Final in 2024.

Life before Spurs
Tilly began her career with Enskede IK, making her senior debut in 2018 at the age of just 15. In January, 2021, she signed for Swedish top-flight side Hammarby and at the end of her second season in 2022 was named the Damallsvenskan (league) Breakthrough Player of the Year and Hammarby Player of the Year.
During the 2023 campaign, Matilda was a key part of Hammarby's double-winning side as they won the Swedish Cup last June, beating BK Häcken in the final, before securing the Damallsvenskan title in November, 2023.
International
She made her senior debut for Sweden in November, 2022, and scored her first goal for her nation in the UEFA Nations League Play-Off tie against Bosnia and Herzegovina in February, 2024. She has since earned 14 caps in total.
