An energetic left-back, Amanda Nildén showcased her versatility in the closing stages of the 2025/26 season with a number of strong displays at centre-back to help us record our best-ever campaign in England’s top flight.

Amanda made 28 appearances in total in 2025/26, taking her past half-century mark for the club – now up to 63 appearances since joining us from Serie A side Juventus, initially on loan in January, 2024, a deal then made permanent ahead of 2024/25. She became an integral part of our backline in her six-month loan spell, where she helped us reach our first-ever Women’s FA Cup Final in May, 2024, and after making her move permanent, Amanda featured in 19 games in 2024/25 in her first full season with the club.

Life before Spurs

Born in Stockholm, Amanda began her career in Sweden, making her professional debut for IF Brommapojkarna before making the switch to Damallsvenskan side, AIK. Ahead of the 2018/19 campaign, the defender signed for Brighton & Hove Albion and spent two years at the club, being part of the side that featured in their first season in the Barclays Women’s Super League.

She returned to Sweden for the 2020/21 campaign, signing for Eskilstuna United, before joining Juventus in August, 2021. During the 2021/22 campaign, she was part of Juventus’ treble-winning side as they won Serie A, the Coppa Italia - beating AC Milan 2-1 in the final - and the Suppercoppa Italiana, while having experience in the UEFA Women’s Champions League, featuring on 15 occasions in the competition.

Internationals

Having progressed through the age groups for Sweden's national teams, Amanda made her senior international debut in February, 2021, and was part of their squads for the UEFA Women’s Euro 2022, where they reached the semi-final of the competition, and the UEFA Women’s Euro 2025.
