Victoria Pelova became our fourth signing of the summer as she joined us in June, 2026, following the expiry of her contract with Arsenal.
A versatile midfielder, the Netherlands international has spent the last four seasons in England’s top flight and now embarks on a new journey as a Spurs player after penning a long-term contract with the Club.
Life before Spurs
Victoria began her senior career at ADO Den Haag in 2016/17 and, after two more seasons at The Hauge, finding the back of the net on 27 occasions in 57 games, she moved to Ajax in the Eredivisie – playing alongside Lize Kop and Caitlin Dijkstra – and spent four years in Amsterdam, making 84 appearances and scoring 16 goals, where she also gained valuable UEFA Women’s Champions League experience with the Dutch side.
Having helped Ajax to silverware in her spell, winning the KNVB Beker Women in 2021/22 and the Eredivisie Cup in 2020/21, the all-round midfielder made the switch to the Women’s Super League to join Arsenal in January, 2023. She won the Women’s League Cup in her first few months, coming on as a second-half substitute. Adapting well to England’s top flight in her first full season, Victoria played in 33 games the following term and was part of the squad that won the Women’s League Cup once again.
Suffering an Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) injury ahead of the 2024/25 campaign, she missed the majority of that season and returned in March, 2025, before being part of the matchday squad in their UEFA Women’s Champions League final success in May of that year. This term, Victoria made 30 appearances in all competitions, seven in the Champions League, boasting a wealth of experience in the WSL and on the European stage.
International
A Dutch international since 2018, making her senior debut against Spain, she has represented her nation at the 2020 Olympics, the UEFA European Championships (2022 and 2025) and the FIFA Women’s World Cup (2019 and 2023).
