Eveliina Summanen has written her name into our history books since joining in January, 2022, by becoming our all-time assist provider in the Women’s Super League.
A consistent performer in our midfield over the last five seasons, Eve has contributed to 12 assists since making her move to us from Kristianstands DFF – more than any other player in our history in the top flight. The Finland international also hit a century of appearances in Lilywhite in February, 2026 – now on 109 in total in all competitions.
Capped 85 times by Finland, scoring 14 goals in total, Eve was part of the squad that reached the Women’s FA Cup final for the first time in our history in May, 2024, and has scored some stunning goals in her time, including the 40-yard strike against Aston Villa in the Women’s League Cup in November, 2024, which won the Supporters’ Goal of the Season award for 2024/25.

Life before Spurs
She began her career with her hometown team PEPO where she progressed through the youth system before joining top-flight side, HJK, in 2016. She made her senior debut in April, 2016, and went on to feature 63 times, making 59 starts and scoring three goals over the next three seasons. In 2019, she made the switch from Kansanallinen Liiga to her neighbouring country, Sweden to join KIF Örebro. She adapted quickly to life in Damallsvenskan, starting all 21 of her appearances. In January, 2020, Kristianstads DFF acquired her services and she made 43 starts over the following two seasons finding the back of the net five times.
International
Eve made her senior national debut against China in June, 2017 and has been a key part of the squad since. She was a permanent fixture throughout her country’s successful qualification for the UEFA Women’s Euro 2022 and was in the final squad that competed in England.
