A physical, left-footed centre-half, Marcos Senesi joined us in the summer of 2026 following four impressive seasons with AFC Bournemouth.

A key part of the Cherries' squad as they continually climbed the league table, he signed off on the south coast by helping the club secure European football for the first time in its history at the end of 2025/26.

Life before Spurs

Hailing from Concordia, Argentina, Marcos began his career with Buenos Aires giants San Lorenzo, starting in their youth system before progressing to the senior side and making his professional debut in September, 2016. He headed to Europe to join Dutch side Feyenoord in 2019 and helped them to the KNVB Cup Final in his first season. In each of his three campaigns in Rotterdam, he played in European competition, which included playing in all but one of Feyenoord’s 13 matches as they reached the inaugural UEFA Europa Conference League Final in 2022. Moving to the Premier League later that year, he joined AFC Bournemouth and spent four years with the seaside club, developing into one of the most accomplished, sought-after central defenders in the top-flight. He enjoyed one of his best campaigns to date in 2025/26 - no outfield player completed more long passes (182) in the Premier League. At the same time, no centre-back produced more assists than Marcos while he sat in the Premier League’s top three players for most interceptions, blocks and clearances.

Argentina

An Argentina Under-20 and Under-23 international, Marcos made his senior debut for La Albiceleste against Estonia in 2022. He was named in Argentina’s preliminary squad for the 2026 World Cup, didn’t make the final squad, however, an injury to Leonardo Balerdi saw him called into the squad as a replacement. Incredibly, Marcos only appearance in the tournament was off the bench in the World Cup Final against Spain in New Jersey. At the end of the tournament, he had five caps to his name.
