A brilliant shot-stopper and regular nominee for the Premier League’s ‘Save of the Month’ award, ‘Vic’ produced one of his most memorable saves for when it really mattered – turning away Luke Shaw’s header deep into injury time as we held onto our 1-0 lead to lift the UEFA Europa League trophy against Manchester United in May, 2025.
Such a consistent presence in his three seasons at the club – Vic added 43 appearances in all competitions to his tally last term, although a hernia repair in the March international break ruled him out for two months, returning to the squad for the final two fixtures.

2025/26 - 43 appearances – 31 starts in the PL, 11 in the UCL.
2024/25 – 34 appearances - fractured ankle vs Manchester City in November, 2024, returned in February, UEL winner.
2023/24 – 40 out of 41 appearances, ever present in the PL (38/38).
Life before Spurs
Born in Udine, Italy, Vic’s incredible journey to the Premier League and full Italy international honours started in the lower leagues of Italian football. He spent his early years with Bearzi, joining Udinese’s youth team in August, 2013, before a season-long loan with Fontanafredda during the 2014/15 campaign, where he made a total of 30 appearances. Next up Venezia (2015-2019) where he made 89 appearances and helped the club earn promotion to Serie B, while also claiming the Coppa Italia Lega Pro. He joined Cagliari in July, 2019, loaned to Perugia in 2019/20 (39 appearances) before returning to Cagliari and making his Serie A debut in April, 2021. A season-long loan to Empoli (2021/22) turned permanent the following year. After two impressive seasons (71 appearances) he joined Spurs in the summer of 2023.
Italy
First called up in September, 2022, Guglielmo earned his first senior cap in March, 2024, a 2-0 win against Ecuador in New Jersey, USA. He earned his second cap against Turkey in June, 2024 and was part of the Italy squad in the Euro 2024 finals in Germany. At the end of 2025/26, he had five caps to his name.
