Born in London, Tosin began his early career with Manchester City, signing for the club at the age of five. Working his way up through the ranks, he captained the club’s Under-18s regularly at just 16 years old and made his senior debut for City in February, 2016, in an FA Cup tie against Chelsea.
Becoming Manchester City's youngest-ever player to start a European game at 19 years of age, he made eight senior appearances for them.
A loan spell to West Bromwich Albion followed in 2018/19 and he enjoyed his period at the Hawthorns, making 36 appearances for the Baggies as they reached the Championship play-offs. He moved on loan again the next campaign, this time to Blackburn Rovers where he made a further 35 senior appearances, scoring three goals.
An imposing figure at the back, Tosin left Manchester City on a permanent basis in October, 2020, and headed to Fulham, making 33 Premier League appearances in his debut season at Craven Cottage. A vital part of the team that secured promotion back to the Premier League at the first attempt in 2021/22, he made a total of 132 appearances for Fulham, scoring five goals across a four-year spell.
In July, 2024, Tosin made the short trip across west London to join Chelsea. He scored his first goal for the Blues in a UEFA Conference League fixture in November, 2024 – a competition he went on to win at the end of that campaign while he was also named in the Team of the Tournament.
In his debut season at Stamford Bridge, he made 41 appearances in all competitions, scoring five goals and was part of the Blues' squad that won the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, making four appearances across the tournament.
Captaining Chelsea for the first time in October, 2025, in a Carabao Cup fixture, he made a total of 70 appearances for the west London side, scoring on seven occasions.
On the international stage, Tosin has represented England across numerous age groups up to Under-19 level.
