Professional contract for Hardy
We are delighted to announce that Malachi Hardy has signed his first professional contract with the Club.
The centre-back, who turned 17 last week, has been with us since the age of eight and after establishing himself in our Under-18 side towards the end of last season while still a schoolboy, he has featured regularly at that level this term, opening his goalscoring account with a superb header in this month’s 6-4 home victory over Arsenal.
Having played for and captained England’s Under-17s, Malachi stepped up to make his Under-21s debut in January’s 2-0 home win over Liverpool and has been named as a substitute for the first team on 12 occasions over the course of the current campaign.
