We can confirm the permanent transfer of Angharad James to Seattle Reign.

The 29-year-old Welsh international departs to the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) having been a key figure in her one-and-a-half years at the Club, making 44 appearances during her time in Lilywhite.

Angharad signed for us in July, 2022, and featured in all our Barclays Women’s Super League games in her first full season, helping us to secure survival in England’s top tier. A midfielder by trade, she moved to full-back in the opening months of the 2023/24 campaign and started every WSL game before January, notably, playing a key part in that historic 1-0 victory over Arsenal at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium back in December, 2023.

First capped by Wales in 2011 at the age of 17, the midfielder became the youngest Welsh player ever, male or female, to reach 100 appearances for the country and, on her landmark appearance, the Dragons qualified for the 2023 FIFA World Cup play-offs for the first time in their history.

We wish Angharad all the best for the future.
